The UK Government’s Cyber Essentials (CE) Scheme aims to help organisations implement adequate levels of protection against cyber-attacks, demonstrating that they take cyber security seriously.
The Scheme focuses on five important technical security controls. These controls were identified by the UK government as those that, if they had been in place, would have stopped a large number of the successful cyber-attacks over the last number of years.
The awarding of this certification further reinforces Integrity360’s commitment to maintaining effective information security. The certification compliments the company’s ISO 27001 certification for information security that has been retained since 2009.
Speaking about the certifications, Graham Day, Security Consultant at Integrity360 said, “The UK government found that many common cyber-attacks were due to simple controls not being managed. It is for this reason that many UK government agencies require this certification from suppliers, even if suppliers already have standards such as ISO 27001 in place. The certification gives assurance to customers that their sensitive and personal information is secured by their certified supplier.”
