The Agenda of Security First Events

With the huge variation of incident types an organisation can be susceptible to including cloud, email, insiders, ransomware, and malware, it’s no surprise that protecting yourself against an incident remains a challenge for many. The agenda of Security First aims at providing an educational forum that focuses on key challenges faced by cyber security professionals like you through open discussions, technical workshops, demo labs and thought leadership sessions while encouraging audience questions throughout.

The Security First 2022 agenda is evolving daily with confirmed speakers covering topics from security spend, bespoke sustainable cyber security frameworks, to threat detection and response and Zero Trust in today’s hybrid world.

Here’s a sneak peek of who to expect on the day:

Sir Alex Younger security first 2022Our Keynote Speaker: Sir Alex Younger, Former MI6 Chief

The keynote speaker of the day is our guest and former Chief (“C”) of the Secret Intelligence Service, Sir Alex Younger. Having served as the longest-serving MI6 Chief in 50 years until recently, Sir Alex Younger spent much of his career as a Spy and worked abroad undercover as a diplomat in several countries before becoming the head of counter-intelligence. In his role, he oversaw the transformation of his service to make it fit for the data age. He saw that in a time of dynamic change, static defences are not enough. The ability to see your organisation as an attacker would see it, and to adapt to change is fundamental to defence. In his keynote, Sir Alex Younger will share with us his learnt lessons and is available to answer your questions and challenges your organisations may have.
