On 24th March 2021, the UK government published the Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2021, featuring an analysis of 1,419 UK businesses and a review of 2020's cyber threat landscape. The report highlights how the Covid-19 pandemic has made it much more difficult for organisations to protect themselves against modern cyber-attacks while staff are working from home.
Three benchmarks to inform cyber security spending plans for 2020
2019 was a tumultuous one for cyber security. We saw the rise and fall of GandCrab ransomware, multiple data breaches for Fortune 500 companies, and GDPR turned one year old. The attackers are getting more resourceful, and according to the Ponemon Institute’s Cost of a Data Breach report 2019, the average cost of a breach globally is almost $4m.
